We were proud to be part of EMEX 2026 — New Zealand's premier trade event for the engineering, manufacturing and technology industries — held at the Auckland Showgrounds 26th to 28th May. The three-day event was a fantastic opportunity to network with industry peers, connect with potential new partners, and promote AMA membership to a new audience of manufacturing professionals.

Among the highlights was AMA having the privilege of hosting Hon. Cameron Brewer, Minister for Manufacturing and Small Business on a tour of the expo floor, alongside Nic Blakeley,

Secretary for Economic Growth and CEO of MBIE — a great opportunity to showcase the depth and diversity of New Zealand's manufacturing sector to those at the heart of government.

The AMA showcase was well received by EMEX attendees and we wish to thank again the generous support of our partners: ENI Engineering, Oasis Engineering, Argus ManuTech, University of Auckland, and Hamilton Jet. Thank you to ENI Engineering for providing the awesome Wayfinder screens on our showcase stand.

This is what our partners had to say:

Owen Booth from ENI Engineering – “Continuing strengthening of our relationships with other showcase businesses, Hamilton Jet, Argus ManuTech and of course AMA”
Jan Polzer, University of Auckland – “An opportunity to network, explore the diversity of the manufacturing sector, and see the DML programme in action first-hand.”
Nathan Hay, Argus Manutech – “It was fantastic to see the strength of New Zealand manufacturing on display and to connect with an impressive group of innovators.”

Perhaps most significantly, we were proud to host the Minister for Manufacturing Awards 2026 — celebrating the very best of Kiwi manufacturing talent and innovation. Congratulations to all the 2026 winners.

— and a special thank you to XPO Exhibitions for producing such an exceptional event. We hope to see everyone in SouthMach 26th & 27th May 2027 in Christchurch.
