Sarah Ramsay is the CEO and co‑owner of United Machinists, a leading Dunedin advanced manufacturer supplying high‑value sectors from aerospace to medical technology. Since 2019, she has driven the company’s transformation through automation, digital production systems, and advanced machining, all grounded in a people‑first approach. Sarah is also an active angel investor, mentor, and Chartered Professional Director, contributing to industry groups including Hanga‑Aro‑Rau and the NZ Defence Industry Association.

Rachel Barker is the CEO of Plastics NZ and a mechanical engineer with deep expertise in product development, plastics processing, and polymers. She leads national efforts to advance a circular economy for plastics and strengthens manufacturing success through evidence‑based collaboration. Rachel also contributes to key industry groups, including the Advanced Manufacturing ITP Steering Group and global advocacy around UN plastics agreements.

Vortex Engineering Group

Glenn Hansen is the Group Financial Controller for the Vortex Engineering Group, an environmental engineering company operating across Australia and New Zealand. He leads the Group’s finance, administration, IT, risk, marketing, internal communications, and external relations functions. With a background spanning horticulture, tech, software, and accountancy, Glenn has advised a wide range of businesses and previously owned his own. He is also active in representing Canterbury manufacturers through government forums and serves as a director of the Canterbury Employers’ Chamber of Commerce.
