Sarah Ramsay

Sarah Ramsay is the CEO and co‑owner of United Machinists, a leading Dunedin advanced manufacturer supplying high‑value sectors from aerospace to medical technology. Since 2019, she has driven the company’s transformation through automation, digital production systems, and advanced machining, all grounded in a people‑first approach. Sarah is also an active angel investor, mentor, and Chartered Professional Director, contributing to industry groups including Hanga‑Aro‑Rau and the NZ Defence Industry Association.

Rachel Barker
Chief Executive Officer
Plastics NZ
Rachel Barker is the CEO of Plastics NZ and a mechanical engineer with deep expertise in product development, plastics processing, and polymers. She leads national efforts to advance a circular economy for plastics and strengthens manufacturing success through evidence‑based collaboration. Rachel also contributes to key industry groups, including the Advanced Manufacturing ITP Steering Group and global advocacy around UN plastics agreements.

Glenn Hansen
Group Financial Controller
Vortex Engineering Group
Glenn Hansen is the Group Financial Controller for the Vortex Engineering Group, an environmental engineering company operating across Australia and New Zealand. He leads the Group’s finance, administration, IT, risk, marketing, internal communications, and external relations functions. With a background spanning horticulture, tech, software, and accountancy, Glenn has advised a wide range of businesses and previously owned his own. He is also active in representing Canterbury manufacturers through government forums and serves as a director of the Canterbury Employers’ Chamber of Commerce.

Alan Suttcliffe is the Chief Executive of Page Macrae Engineering and a chartered engineer and director with 25 years of experience across manufacturing, operations, technology, and project leadership. He has held senior roles in multiple industrial sectors and brings strong governance capability from his work with SME manufacturers and industry boards.

With global experience across the US and Germany, he helps companies adopt additive manufacturing and automation. Based in Queenstown Lakes, he leads Wildtech and supports community fabrication initiatives, advocating for New Zealand’s advanced manufacturing future.

Dawn Aerospace
Charlie North leads supply chain operations for Dawn Aerospace, managing global material flow and integrating problem‑solving technologies into manufacturing for satellite propulsion systems. With a background in high‑tech, regulated manufacturing at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, he combines practical, hands‑on engineering with a passion for turning ideas into reality.

Vicky Webb is Fonterra Senior Capital Support Manager, bringing 30 years of hands on engineering and project leadership experience. She supports capital projects across the sector, contributing expertise in governance, business case development, process engineering, and industry advocacy during a period of significant manufacturing challenges.
